Oh yeah....BLOGGING!

Postby marnoldnyc » Fri Jul 16, 2010 7:08 pm

Just wanted to put a plug in for an often overlooked and very simple way to get an additional income stream going AS YOU PROMOTE YOUR TWRPS opportunity.

While video is extremely important, and our team is now planning several, one of THE most important things you MUST do (and the two activities should also be integrated and co-ordinated), is SETTING UP A BLOG OR TWO. Both ON AND OFF the TWRPS platform.

Of course the media you create that is moving can also be posted on blogs, and as our gung ho group of TWRPS enthusiasts is already planning, we intend to have a blog series that matches the videos we produce. One serving as a "script outline" as it were for the other.

You can also of course integrate your videos on your blogs, while posting them both all over the internet, using key and "ad" words in BOTH (most people forget to use key and ad words in their video narration, but they will get picked up by every ranking site as WELL, not to mention YOU CAN GET PAID FOR THEM and they affect site ranking, even if the word is spoken and NOT WRITTEN...something that rarely dawns on nascent bloggers and producers.) We also will make money on the example below from outright Google advertising once we set it up. So NO, you can't lose sight of SEO. Even though it SHOULD NEVER dictate your writing. Use the words that make the narration flow. It will show your personality, and dare I say it, even generate GREAT and ORIGINAL WRITING TOO. What you miss in the body, you can make up for in the tags (see HOME BUSINESS and related words at the bottom) That's a very important part of building your brand, not to mention SEO.

Keeping a well branded and integrated marcom effort going, or even starting it, is EXTREMELY important.

Of course, you can also earn money by using ad words directly, as well as other promotions (one of the things we intend to do is promote many of the tools we use in our everyday activities promoting the business that is our FIRST FOCUS. Often autoresponders, TEs, safelists and the like, are getting so competitive that they will actually PAY you to promote them too, often in a very similar structure to an MLM opportunity. Don't expect to get rich (James wasn't kidding about the compensation plan he put together) but in the early days of any MLM opportunity, extra income, particularly when it doesn't take away from your primary focus, is a very good thing. No?

So we have decided to use both the websites available through TWRPS AND the easier to use (not to mention FREE blogs that are automatically integrated into the search engines...such as Google and Yahoo). It's an easy win, and there is no reason why you can't have several slightly different blogs on the same subject out there trolling for you 24/7, native to each platform.

I thought I would post the first of our efforts here so people can get a look at what a relatively new but highly ambitious team of TWRPS'ers is doing.

There isn't much on this board about blogging, but it is a VITAL tool, just as vital as video, in getting the word out there and promoting your team and the product.

And as you can see, my team is already signing on to support me and leave comments. Upline and downline. That is something you want to do too.

See the link below as a model and example. Don't worry....video will be coming soon. But blogging is a very cheap, quick and easy way (not to mention totally free) to instantly get started on your marketing efforts outside the autoresponders, the social sites and outright advertising...although again, DON'T FORGET TO INTEGRATE ALL when appropriate.

Comments are always welcome from the larger TWRPS team, so feel free to post even if you don't know me yet.

As our first installment also demonstrates, blogging is also a way to brand yourself and let your personality and other interests come through in a way that you can also use when engaged in video production, although the two require slightly different skills and video requires narration that is and always will be slightly different. Not to mention shorter. But there is nobody who said that your pitch should not be creative and original. It softens the pitch and doesn't necessarily look like a marketing gimmick, as I have done here, although yes, our team is also using SFS as the frontline tool, so we also chose colors and a theme for the blog that would "brand us" and connect us to even the colors and marketing language used by SFS as you should think about whether promoting one or both TWRPS and SFS. One more thing to think about, right?

Don't worry, it will get easier. Like breathing once you start to practice.

Feel free to tell us what you think. Post it right on the blog.

Cheers.....and happy blogging.
